Personal Development
You know you want something different.
Now it’s time to understand what it take to create it.
Pivot Point provides psychologically informed behavioral coaching for people ready to make meaningful changes in how they think, respond, relate, and move through life.
We look beneath the surface of what's happening to understand the patterns, relationships, beliefs, and circumstances influencing your behavior. From there, we develop personalized strategies to help you move toward something different.
How We Work Together
Knowing something needs to change and knowing how to change it are two very different things. The harder you try, the more frustrating it becomes when you keep getting the same results.
Drawing on behavioral research and graduate-level training in marriage and family therapy, Pivot Point approaches personal development from a different perspective: the behaviors that once helped you navigate life may be the very ones making it difficult to create the life you want now.
Rather than focusing solely on the problem, the work begins by understanding what is driving it. Why does the same situation keep happening? What makes a familiar response so difficult to change? And what needs to be different for your efforts to finally produce different results?
That understanding becomes the foundation for a plan built around your life, not someone else's formula. Together, we'll identify where change is possible, put new responses into practice, and refine the approach based on what actually works.
The work is thoughtful without being abstract and practical without oversimplifying the person.
The first 45 days are designed to establish a clear starting point: a deeper understanding of what's happening, what's keeping it in place, and a practical strategy for approaching things differently.
You don't need to have the answers before you begin. That's what the work is for.
Where the Work Begins
Change begins with understanding where you are. We look at the experiences, beliefs, and ways of responding that have shaped your current reality, then identify what can change. The goal isn't to reinvent who you are, but to help you move through life with greater clarity, choice, and intention.
-
When you're entering a new chapter and need clarity about what comes next.
-
When you recognize cycles in your life but aren't sure how to change them.
-
When you need to establish healthier limits without losing yourself or your relationships
-
When you struggle to trust your decisions or second-guess yourself.
-
When you want to respond with greater intention instead of reacting from old patterns.
-
When you're ready to express what you think, feel, and need more honestly.
-
When keeping others comfortable has come at the expense of yourself.
-
When analysis, hesitation, or avoidance keeps you from moving forward.
-
When you're questioning who you are, who you're becoming, or what you want next.
C. G. JungThe privilege of a lifetime is to become who we truly are.
A different way forward
You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Start with where you are, what you want to change, and what you're hoping will be different.
Let's begin there.
